Talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres is returning to the big screen to play Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone's sequel to Wall Street. Michael Douglas who originally portrayed Gordon Gekko in the 1987 hit did not sign up for a sequel. 'This was a smart move on Douglas' part,' explained a local movie critic. The sequel will be called Money Never Sleeps and has rumored to also star Shia LaBeouf who will play a young executive type character. This will be the first time Ellen and Labeouf have starred together in a major motion picture and the first movie she has been in since Finding Nemo. 'If Douglas won't be apart of this movie, I believe with Ellen's hilarious and witty personality she will take Gekko and make him even better,' said Tomas the manager of a Blockbuster. The new Oliver Stone flick, Wall Street II: Money Never Sleeps, is set to be released in the summer of 2011.
